Course: Foundation Service Academy

A tailored half-day face-to-face training course which covers the basics of great service. By the end you will:

  • understand what we mean by service in the context of the rail sector and its importance
  • be able to identify who your key ‘customers’ are and the benefits of providing a good service for you and them
  • build an understanding of how to develop a strong sense of rapport with others
  • understand the importance of listening to understand your customers and how they can enhance your ability to listen with empathy and no judgement
  • recognise the importance of personal ownership
  • develop a personal commitment to great service and be awarded your final certification from City & Guilds
